Discussion of neogeography

R&D.CNews Research and Development Portal, “Neogeography” group and “Earth from Space – the Most Effective Solutions” magazine kick off discussions about the prospects of the new principle of working with geospatial data – neogeography -  as well as about the closely related to Neogeography concepts of Situational Awareness and Network Centricity. What is the meaning of Neogeography, Situational Awareness and Network Centricity concepts? How serious could the impacts be to the country, if these new principles of working with geospatial data are ignored? Can a new quality management be ensured without applying new alternative approaches towards operations with time- and space-localized information? Dispute results will regularly be presented and discussed on the R&D.CNews portal. Final materials are to be published in the next issue of the ”Earth from Space – the Most Effective Solutions” magazine that is to come out of press in August 2010.
